SkyCiv Cloud Engineering

I started at Sydney-based startup SkyCiv Cloud Engineering in 2020 as an intern. After completing a six month internship, I was promoted to the role of a Junior Product Developer and then prompted again to the position of Product Developer at the start of 2022.

Key Achievements:

  • Launching and maintaining the SkyCiv Mobile Application available in the Apple App Store and Google Play Stores. The apps now have over 50,000 downloads.
  • Rebuilding, launching, and maintaining the popular SkyCiv Beam program used by thousands of users each week.
  • Maintaining important backend platform systems, including billing and authentication systems, including implementing two-factor authentication options on user accounts and 3D secure, compliant checkout systems.
  • Researching and developing a new finite element (FEA) based cross-sectional stress analysis tool.
  • Overhauling the SkyCiv Platform user interface for a new professional and modern look.

Key Learnings:

  • Gained project management skills, leading, and working with international development teams to deliver software projects on time.
  • Sharped technical skills to be able to deliver accurate and reliable solutions.
  • Improved user requirements gathering skills, having first-hand experience dealing with clients and end users.
  • Discovered how to implement best practices, standards and documentation to improve code quality and organisational efficiency.
